Four (48) Point Annunciators are located at various Panama Canal Sites monitoring Contact Alarms. The Alarm Status of these Annunciators are polled regularly by the Facilities Master MODBUS Computer. Facility Personnel take appropriate action based on the severity of the specific Alarms detected.

The alarm annunciators are installed in duplex board cabinets located in the generators control center at Madden’s hydroelectric power plant, which takes water from Lake Alajuela near the banks of the Canal.
